Kicking is fun but kicking a Footbag is more fun...for me

03/30/08 | by yevez | Categories: Footbag, Life of pleasures

Yes soccer is the most popular sport on earth. It’s fun to kick a soccer ball around and I certainly understand how easy it is to distribute as a global idea. A ball 2 goals, 22 people playing. Hard to beat.

Who really is Al Gore

03/30/08 | by yevez | Categories: Environmental concerns, Politics, Global Economy

He was USA’s vice-president, and then, for a short while, everybody thought he was USA’s president. He’s the recipient of a Nobel prize for peace. He’s the man behind the prized documentary “An inconvenient truth".

Al Gore’s crusade for the environment brings him praise…and

Avec la flambée de violence au Tibet et la brutale répression chinoise qui a suivi, la question qui se pose de plus en plus dans l’actualité est de savoir si les jeux de Pékin ne devraient pas être boycottés massivement.

Montreal defeats Ottawa soundly

03/25/08 | by yevez | Categories: Sports and Games, Hockey

Yesterday night the Montreal Canadiens made sure that they are gonna be part of the real season, the NHL playoffs. They also made sure that this city won’t have a nervous breakdown associated with this endless winter. It’s a known fact than when our team is in the post season all the city feels better. It might be stupid but it’s the way it is. Hockey is close to a religion here, with much lighter responsabilities for the citizens, so we take it as it goes and this time we have something to be happy about.

With a 3-2 win over the Boston Bruins yesterday, the Montreal Canadiens swept the 8 games that these 2 teams played this season. Let’s hope that we can face them in the playoffs now.

Let’s give them the credit that they deserve, the Bruins got a point yesterday. One point on a possibility of 16.:>

Who really is Bill Gates

Bill Gates has brought criticism on himself by the way he conducted Microsoft to relentlessly defeat all competition around its software business. He’s seen as a heartless tycoon in the Computer world. He’s also a business if not a computer genius.

The Montreal Footbag club alive and kicking

03/20/08 | by yevez | Categories: Footbag

The Montreal Footbag Club doesn’t officially even exist . Most of our players are listed as being part of the Quebec Footbag Association (AQF)on the reference Footbag.org clubs list but unoficially it is there waiting for a cool name on which we can all agree on.

It is a known fact that this club has brilliantly dominated the World Footbag Net scene in the past 11 years. Another known fact is that this domination has started to crumble since 2004.

The Google top 10 myth

03/19/08 | by yevez | Categories: General, Computers and the Internet

It’s extremely funny to see so many SEO (Search Engine Optimization) companies on the internet promising a place in top 10 on Google. Some key word combinations return over a billion results and magically with their wand they would bring a brand new web site in the top 10 results of Google.

Yves Archambault starts blogging here and now

03/17/08 | by yevez | Categories: Computers and the Internet

Here and now! That’s something I always liked. Living in the present, doing things, being interested. As my partner, Sébastien Perron, and I, are involved in a business targeting primarely kids and skills games, we have to live in this here and now in order to transmit our passion properly. With games like Footbag and Handsack, Takraw and Peteca, we aim at making kids move at a minimal cost. Of course I will be blogging about this but I have other interests as well:

  • The Environment
  • Computers
  • Politics
  • Having fun in life

So I hope to find some of you down the road that have thoughts to share about my preoccupations.
