Harper government cuts back in culture, another mess from the prairie boys

Why should we help out our artists when we can subsidize the “poor” oil industry. Why give the “Holy Fuck” band a couple of thousands dollars when we can use them as a moral caution for cutting back in cultural programs. Censors and moralists preventing the “Canadian” to be associated with anything marginal the prairie boys hit again. Doing their dirty job in the summer while the general public is on vacation they decided to pull the plug to

a total of 7 useful programs without any explanation. But don’t get fooled foreign affairs minister David Emerson’s office declared that these progams could not benefit marginals, activists or offending artists.

The likes of Robert Lepage and some of our best writers that benefited from these progams in the past to help Canada shine on the international scene, lets not forget it. If they had to cut on something they should cut themselves off with the reputation they gave to this country in the past 2 years only on the environmental scene. Shame, shame and re-shame. When do we get to kick them out again?
