We played, some won, some lost but no one was injured and we’re really happy about that.
In the singles net Intermediate category France representative Thibault Rehn won over Montrealer Julien Tremblay. Thibault lost game one but rallied to win the two other games over a dissapointed Tremblay. The good news is that Julien is
only 18 so he’ll probably have a lot of chances to win other tournaments.
In the open division Jean-François Lemieux won over John Leys avenging a loss suffered in their previous confrontation. The match had to be shortened, which both players agreed to, to just one game to 15 points, due to time constraints.
No upset for the first place in the Open Doubles where John Leys and Emmanuel Bouchard sustained their first seed by winning over third seed François Depatie-Pelletier and Luc Legault. Luc and Frinki upsetted second seed J-F Lemieux and Gilles Demers in a semi finals match. J-F and Gilles ended up 4th after loosing the match for 3rd place to Yves Archambault and Samuel Cloutier.
