Wind power will rise in Quebec

Wind power will rise in Quebec

Yesterday the prime minister of Quebec announced that 15 new Eolian parks will be built in the province of Quebec. This is good news except for the view. The giant towers can either be perceived as beautiful or as being real ugly. The important thing is that they will provide clean energy and that’s what we need, or do we?

Some say that we shouldn’t have to build new energy sources as we should discipline ourselves with a lower consumption of electricity. This is true and there are long ways to go before there’s enough education to make that happen. In the meantime at least this energy source is a lesser pain.

If we do realize gains in the spending then we’ll be able to export that production elsewhere. Ontario, our neighbour province, gets a lot of its energy from dirty sources for one.

We’ll see now how much opposition these projects get ‘cause there is still a long way to go before these projects actually exist.

The only odd thing to me with this announcement is that the only wind turbine maker in the province has been totally ignored in all the 15 projects???
