Chara knew exactly what he was doing

03/13/11 | by yevez | Categories: Sports and Games, Hockey

A little come back on the Zdeno Chara - Max Pacioretty incident, I just have one thing to say: Nobody will make me believe that Chara didn’t know what he was doing. He attempted to hurt Pax and he succeeded.

And all that because Pacioretty shove him a little bit that after he scored the winning goal in overtime over the Bruins on January 8th. During the following match (Feb 9th) when the Big Bad Bruins were back with a lot of roughness (how else could they beat the Canadiens?), Chara was constantly looking to get Max and his eyes were really crazy.

Comes the March 8th match and who Chara seriously hurt? Pacioretty of course. You believe in coincidences? Not me.

Chara is a murderer in the coming and he’s even been sanctioned by the league to continue this way. No suspension for him and Pax might never play hockey again. National Hockey Clowns League. NHCL.

Do we see enough beauty?

Perception

Something to think about….

Washington, DC Metro Station on a cold January morning in 2007. The man with a violin played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time approximately. 2 thousand people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. After 3 minutes a middle aged man noticed there was a musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurried to meet his schedule.

4 minutes later:

The violinist received his first dollar: a woman threw the money in the hat and, without stopping, continued to walk.

6 minutes:

A young man leaned against the wall to listen to him, then looked at his watch and started to walk again.

10 minutes:

A 3-year old boy stopped but his mother tugged him along hurriedly. The kid stopped to look at the violinist again, but the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk, turning his head all the time. This action was repeated by several other children. Every parent,

Why am I in favor of the side-out scoring in Footbag net?

09/27/10 | by yevez | Categories: Footbag, Sports and Games, KICK VOLLEY

Grischa Tellenbach from the french Footbag Association asked me that question recently:

If you had to choose a sole scoring system for Footbag Net which one would you
choose rallye scoring or side-out?

Here’s my detailed answer:
I would choose Side-out scoring

Here’s why:
1- It is almost impossible to orchestrate a come back when there’s a

The Peteca International web site is up and running

04/09/10 | by yevez | Categories: Sports and Games

Peteca is a Brazilian sport that I discovered in the 90’s. It was a lot of fun from the start but as I was already heavily involved in Footbag and Kick Volley I didn’t have time to
pursue it as much as I would have liked to.

I went to Brazil in April 2009 to film a tournament of the Brazilian League in Belo Horizonte. I also got introduced to the very competitive side of the game by some top players. Peteca is a great exercise, very cardio, but in general much easier to learn than my current sport: Kick Volley so it is much more accessible to a whole lot of people.

It can also be played non competitively just passing the giant shuttlecock around. This
recreational approach can touch an even broader spectrum of persons.

I can say that I really believe in Peteca as a valuable and complete sport so I will promote it as much as I can. That’s why peteca.net was created. On the site you can see videos, read the rules, it contains a condensed version as well as a complete version of these rules, you can also buy the Petecas in our online shop as well as other fine alternative sports products like Footbag, Takraw and Handsack.
