My girl friend wants me to make more money!

I had a grounding talk with my girl friend tonight. Our relationship is less than weak. She told me all the things she doesn’t like about me and the one that stroke me was: She would like me to make more cash so I can take care of her from time to time.

She’s a teacher and she works hard for her money but she still gets a good pay. I’m a small business owner and make minimal revenue. At 51 this is not the best situation to have debts and to not generate a decent income. So we pay our share separately, which I thought was OK
until tonight. In my mind the outcome of feminism was that women wanted to be financially independent. Maybe I was wrong
